Theory of Change diagram

A wall-chart and page-size diagram that shows activities, outputs, and intended outcomes in the language your steering group already uses.

From £890 · Ten to fifteen working days after the working session

Paper sketches and marked notes from a planning meeting

Who it is for

Consortia writing a bid or refreshing a mid-grant Theory of Change who need one diagram the whole partnership can point to.

What you take away

One large-format diagram (for a workshop wall) and one A4/A3 reduction for the bid or report, plus a legend that defines each arrow.

Who prepares it

Drawn by Service Trailline after you confirm the causal claims the partnership will actually defend.

Included

  • Review of existing ToC drafts and logframes
  • Optional two-hour remote mapping call
  • Draft diagram, one revision, print-ready files

Not included

  • Facilitation of a full-day partnership workshop (see mapping sessions)
  • Rewriting the bid narrative

How the work proceeds

  1. Collect the current ToC, even if it is a whiteboard photo.
  2. Clarify which arrows are assumptions versus observed links.
  3. Draw, check wording with the PI, deliver files.

Where we work

Remote; large-format printing is your local printer unless arranged.

What to prepare

The latest ToC, the funder’s required headings, and names of outcomes that must appear.

Limits we keep

We will not draw an outcome as ‘caused by’ an activity if the partnership only claims contribution.

Fees

From £890 for a single diagram family (wall + page). A bilingual pair or a child-programme inset is quoted extra.

Next step. Attach the current ToC draft and the funder heading list.
